'Arcabucero de la Corona'

The "Escuela cuzqueña" or Cuzco School of art originated in the ancient Inca capital, was a 17th-century movement which blended European and indigenous motifs to create a new world art form. Most paintings were devotional in nature and richly decorated. Artists incorporated recognizable Andean elements into their oil paintings such as local flora and fauna, customs and traditions.

Luis Paredes

He was born in Lima in 1947. He studied at the prestigious Catholic University of Lima, obtaining his Bachelor´s degree at the Fine Arts school and also the title of Professor at the school of education of the same University. He also did post graduate studies at Lima University.

He is a designer of Arts and Crafts and an Instructor of Artisans. His original works are in leather goods as well as replicas of the paintings of the Cusco School. These works are in great demand in Peru and abroad.
